This is the time of year I slow down and stop publishing for a month or so. It’s a chance for me to reflect, recharge my batteries, and consider the direction of the blog.
It’s been an intense 6 months. I’ve self-published two new books, Heavens of the Hebrews and Charming a Dragon.
The first looked into the connection between astronomical features and the first five books of the Bible. Especially linking Genesis 5 and 11 with the movements of the heavenly bodies.
The second is my first fiction book. A storyteller is ensnared by a dragon, and has to tell it fairy tales to obtain freedom. I have to say how editing fiction is far more difficult than non-fiction. It has been over a month of re-editing. I’m planning to have it available in a couple of weeks.
I have reduced the amount I publish to concentrate on the books. So whereas I was publishing 5 articles every two weeks, I’ve reduced this to 2 articles.
Going from writing a theology blog in March 2022 to three published books has been an incredible journey.
The AngloFuturism part of my work has been growing exponentially. More and more people are engaging with it and I’ve sold over 75 books since I published Collected Essays on AngloFuturism Philosophy in December. Painting a positive vision for the UK is clearly very attractive.
For those unaware, AngloFuturism is an apolitical cultural movement which seeks to draw from the wisdom of the past, to help address the issues of the day, and then build a positive vision for the future.
I’m still working through my series on the history of King Alfred on my Tales of Old England Christendom. Here I don’t try and prove what really happened, much like modern historian, but talk about what personal lessons we can learn from his story.
The next series on the Tower of Adam will be an extended discussion on the Technological Christian. It will explore what it means to be a Christian in the 21st Century, and what is the best way to navigate this new digital world. This will likely turn into a book.
I have two books planned over the next six months. One will develop upon my first book on AngloFuturism, which was slightly abstract. This new book will try and ground the ideas and explain how to change the culture for the better.
The book after that will be a sci-fi novel about Martian colonisation. It will chart a period of 100 years from first human step on Mars, to asteroid mining. I’ve been planning it for six months, and researching the feasibility of living on Mars has maybe realise that even with our current technology it is possible.
As ever, my paid subscribers can get a free copy of any of these books. Just ask.
If you haven’t done so already, come and follow me on X. Here I post about AngloFuturism. You can also get involved in our vibrant AF community.
So now, I’m off for a relaxing August, and will start up again in mid-September.
Finally, I want to thank all my paid subscribers, to all those who have bought my books, to all those who comment and share my articles, and those who silently read them. You all keep inspiring me to become the best writer I can be.
Thanks
Alexander
Have a good break and thank you for all your work! Grace and Peace.
